How I work

My six-stage methodology is built from my years of practice. It starts with what you notice and achieves value through the shortest reliable path. Together we find the problem. I measure it. I then take you and your team through every stage.

I spend time carefully listening to your key leaders, performing a structured assessment and developing a map of which patterns are active, how severe they are, and in what order to address them.

The people who will run each stage are part of designing it, because understanding something and using it are different problems. This is how adoption is built in from the start.

Let’s talk

From noticing to value

Every stage produces something tangible and each stage has a distinct purpose. Please hover over each stage to see what they each represent and some examples of what each outcome is.

Outcome

Listen

Listening gives you the full picture of the problem across your organisation. It’s most effective when questions are specific and answers are measurable. Delivered within a full audit or shorter diagnostic and through 1:1 and group sessions.

Outcome

An anonymised report of the combined listening exercises.

Measure

Measurement gives you the evidence, gained through the listening phase, to know what to prioritise and why. It is the baseline against which the work is measured.

Outcome

A measurement framework that determines where your focus and priorities should be. It gives you the language to build upon for the future.

Know

Knowing validates the evidence and creates agreement within your leadership team to proceed. It acts as the gateway between the analysis and the action.

Outcome

Depending on the findings, a detailed bespoke scope of work for the remaining phases.

Design

Design gives clarity to what will be built before anyone is asked to run it. Design is always iterative — experimenting gives your team the opportunity to build scalable models, test their hypothesis and learn quickly from failures.

Outcome

A clear plan of action with each outcome measured for success. Depending on the size of engagement this will also be a playbook, blueprint or similar document for the remaining phases.

Equip

Equipping your people with the tools and training gives them the confidence and capability to operate. This is the change programme which builds upon the evidence of what the previous stages have delivered.

Outcome

A comprehensive change plan identifying your change champions, who are resistant and the steps for each. Detailed training plan plus all supporting materials. Communication plans for you and your leadership to adopt.

Embed

Embedding is where you measure what has changed against where you started. Successful adoption goes beyond launching — understanding what is working and what isn’t requires listening to those who have adopted the model and equipping those who are resistant.

Outcome

A post-launch report of what is delivered, plus a report and plan for future recommendations including sustained adoption and any iteration of the model.
